Home / Services / Emergency Roof Repair

Water is coming in. Here is what happens next.

24-hour response, professional tarping, and a permanent repair to follow.

An active leak is a different problem from a roof that needs replacing, and it needs a different response. Every hour that water runs into a wall cavity, it is soaking insulation that will not dry, staining drywall that will need replacing, and finding the electrical boxes in that wall. The first job is not to fix the roof. It is to stop the water.

All fifteen of our offices are listed as open 24 hours, and that is what the number on this page is for. When you call, we establish where the water is entering, get a professional tarp over the opening, and secure anything that is loose enough to become a hazard or a second leak.

Before anything is disturbed, we document the damage — photographs of the failure, the entry point, and the interior consequences, taken in the state we found them. If a storm caused this and you intend to claim, that record is the difference between a scope that reflects what actually happened and one that reflects what an adjuster could see from the driveway weeks later.

Then we come back and repair it properly. A tarp is a tourniquet, not a treatment. The permanent repair is scheduled as soon as conditions allow, and we will tell you honestly whether the correct answer is a repair or a replacement.

Emergency Roof Repair — common questions

What should I do while I wait for a roofer?

Move what you can out of the way and put a container under the drip. If water is pooling in a ceiling, a small hole at the lowest point of the bulge will let it drain in one place instead of bringing the whole ceiling down. Keep clear of anything electrical that is wet, and do not go up on a wet or storm-damaged roof yourself.

Do you really answer at night?

Every one of our fifteen offices is listed as open 24 hours on its Google Business Profile, and the number shown on each location page is that office's line.

Will my insurance cover an emergency roof repair?

That depends on your policy and on what caused the damage. Sudden storm damage is treated very differently from gradual wear. Most policies expect you to take reasonable steps to prevent further damage, which is exactly what emergency tarping is — so document everything and keep the paperwork.

How long can a tarp stay on?

A properly installed tarp buys weeks, not months. It is a temporary measure by design, and leaving one up through a season invites wind damage and pooling. We schedule the permanent repair as soon as conditions and materials allow.

Is emergency work more expensive?

We give you a clear, itemised estimate for the permanent repair the same way we would for any other job. What we will not do is use an emergency to pressure a decision about a full replacement while your ceiling is still wet.
